Abstract

Contains proposals for improving the staple of tobacco and advancing the public credit. The proposals suggest that public & private debts payable in tobacco be brought by the debtor to one or more public storehouses & wharfs to be erected by Act of Assembly in each county. In addition, the proposals call for the appointment of a county agent to examine & receive the tobacco paid for the discharge of debts.
