Contains proceedings of a Special Court held in Chowan, North Carolina, for the trial of Pompey, a slave accused of the murder of William Horneth in Nansemond County, Virginia. According to the proceedings, Pompey is ordered to be carried back to Nansemond County. The proceedings are signed by R. Hicks, Clerk of the Court.
