Contains proceedings of the Richmond County Court regarding the investigation of Jasper Parsons for piracy. The proceedings include an order from J. Tayloe to the sheriff of Richmond County to apprehend Jasper Parsons upon information from Thomas Louther that Jasper and his accomplices have murdered Capt. John Heard, Commander of the Ship Tayloe, run his ship ashore, and plundered the ship. Also included is another order from Tayloe to the sheriff of Richmond County to summon the justices of the county to meet to further examine the charges against Parsons. Lastly, there are interrogations from the court followed by the answers provided by Jasper, second mate of the Ship Tayloe. The court determined that there was just cause for trying Parsons in the General Court, and that he be remanded to the county prison and conveyed to the Public Jail in Williamsburg.
