Contains proceedings of the Council of State regarding a letter from Isham Randolph giving an account of his negotiations in opposing the bill for prohibiting trade with foreign sugar colonies, and the other bill proposed by the merchants for the more easy recovery of debts. The proceedings also relate to the demand of Alexander Spotswood, former lieutenant governor, for compensation for his journey to Albany. Lastly, the proceedings order that two churches be built in St. John's Parish according to the petition of inhabitants of the parish.
