Abstract

Contains a petition from Robert Lewis, William Lynn, Robert Brooke, Jr., James Wills, William Lewis, and Beverley Robinson to [Lieutenant] Governor [William Gooch] and Council asking for an order to take up fifty thousand acres of land in one or more tracts on the head branches of the James River northwest of Cow Pasture. The petitioners also ask for six years to seat the land.
