Abstract

Contains proceedings of the Council of State in reply to resolutions of the House of Burgesses regarding the right of the House of Burgesses to search the journals of the Upper House without their leave. The Council concluded that it is the right of the Council to keep possession of their own journals. The proceedings are signed by N[athaniel] Walthoe, Clerk of the General Assembly.
