Abstract

Contains a petition of Waller Lewis of Spotsylvania County to the Speaker & House of Burgesses asking for reimbursement for tobacco sent to Richmond which was carried off in a flood in May 1771. Includes depositions of Hastings Marks & Richard Harvie before John Marks, justice of the peace of Albemarle County.
