Abstract

Contains a petition of Simon Miller & Robert Rennolds, inspectors of tobacco at Layton's Warehouses in Essex County, to the Speaker & House of Burgesses asking to be reimbursed for two hogsheads of tobacco stolen from their warehouse in 1771 & 1772. Includes depositions of Daniel Thomas & John Lee before C. Boughan and receipts of Thomas & William Waring and James Dunlap.
