Abstract

Contains a petition of Alexander Gilaspe [Gilaspy] to the Speaker & House of Burgesses asking for relief for the loss of his tools while employed as an armorer to Col. Byrd's Regiment in 1761. Also includes a deposition of Alexander Gilaspy before John McClenachan, justice of the peace of Augusta County. Lastly, there is a certificate of Thomas Walker regarding Gilaspy's tools and his failure to receive payment.
