Abstract

Contains a petition of Walter Scott, inspector of tobacco along with James Martin at Rocky Ridge Warehouse in Chesterfield County, to the Speaker & House of Burgesses asking to be reimbursed for five hogsheads of tobacco stolen from his warehouse in 1763,1764, & 1765. Includes a transcription from the Virginia Magazine of History & Biography, v. 18, pp. 288-289.
