Contains a petition of John Clark, Fincastle, to the Speaker & House of Burgesses asking for relief from wounds he received while a soldier in the Virginia Regiment under Lt. King near Fort Cumberland during the French & Indian War. Includes a transcription of the petition copied from the Virginia Magazine of History & Biography, v. 18, pp. 283-284.
