Abstract

Contains a deposition of John Corprew, aged 49, sworn before the Lt. Governor & Council. The deposition relates to his knowledge of the seizure & condemnation of negroes brought into the country by John Skeetch, master of the ship Society, who met with him at John Lemmon's house in August 1687. The deposition was sworn before W[illiam] Edwards, Clerk of the Council.
